Charlies Angels

"Charlies Angels" debuted in 1976 as a TV series stqrring Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and  the late Farrah Fawcett.  It was pretty popular.   Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu starred in two movies in 2000 and 2003.  The movies together made over $500 million dollars.

The TV series featured the angels in some skimpy clothes.   The 2000 and 2003 versions featured their actors with more clothes in some scenes mainly because of the cast.  The 2019 version of the movie went back to the lesser clothes angels.

The 2019 version of Charlie Angel's features Kristin Stewart as "Sabina Wilson" .  Ella Balinka is former M-6 Agent, "Jane Kano".  Joining the duo was engineer "Elena Houghlin" played by Naomi Scott, who appeared as "Jasmine" in "Aladdin".

There were a number of "Bosley's:" in the movie including Patrick Stewart as "John Bosley".  "Edgar Bosley"was played by Djimon Hounsou and "Bosley" played by Elizabeth Banks who also directed the movie.

The movie centered around a new energy source "Calisto".  The device also produced side effect thats could permanently hurt people.  The product was developed by "Elena Houghlin" ,  Her boss "Peter Fleming" played by Nate Faxon   Owner of the company was  "Alexander Brock" played by Sam Claflin.   He turned into an enemy of the angels eventually.

The plot had alot of the girls chasing people around and in some cases in very little clothing. The movie didn't have much of a plot.   The ending was prediticable.

Movie going offices agree.   The opening numbers of the movie was disappointed.  The movies , "Charlies Angels", and "Charlies Angels- Full Throttle" each had a domestic opening of 30K,   The latest version of "Charlies Angels" has only made about 3 million dollars . A definite flop.  Especially when you realized the price of movies have gone up since 2003.

The movie was pretty predictable and boring.  Not worth your time.
